In Pakistan, many children are born into generational slavery. They inherit the debts of their ancestors and forced into physical slave labour of making bricks. The slaves are given food but must borrow money for medicine, doctors and schools. The debt entraps and accumulates families daily as the cost of these fundamental expenses far outweighs the wages they receive. This makes it impossible for families and specifically children, to ever get out of debt.

Since December 2023, Elim Church Global and Door to the Nations Ministry have seen over
38 slave families set free from brit pits near Raiwand, Pakistan
1 brick put in 2024 completely emptied of Christian slaves
228 people across 4 generations freed
6 Evangelists and Pastors freed
42 young men now being trained up as pastors and evangelists
Multiple families have found new jobs in textile mills, schools and as labourers in local bazaars living free lives

Outcomes

Local churches are seeing the Gospel in deed as well as word

At Door to the Nations, we ensure and oversee that every dollar given goes 100% to the slave owner. Elim Christian Ministry* and Door to the Nations takes on the administrative costs so all proceeds can go directly to freeing families. We maintain excellent financial accountability and oversight from local church by having signed documentation and photos of each family that is signed out of the brick pits. We annually send out ministers to verify the integrity of this process.
